Raiding - Consensus

Raiding

Raiding in Consensus:

Consensus by it's nature is happy to house regular groups, or raids, and encourages you to join one or even form one on your own! The guild is here to help you as much as possible, and give you all the tools to reach your group's maximum potential.

Charters:

When forming a group, we highly encourage the use of Charters. While we have no strict rules for the creation or use of charters, the idea is that you lay out the rules for your run ahead of time, so that you and everyone running with you is on the same page.

Charters should ideally include:

  1. Objective (Why are you raiding/grouping? Is it all fun? Plan to take down Arthas? Plan to have spectacular deaths while visiting crazy instances? What are the ultimate goals? How Serious do you plan to be? How flexible? You can be brief, but be sure to give a good idea what you want the group to aim for.
  2. Schedule (When do you run? Do you have sign-ins? Pull times? Invite times?)
  3. Roster (will it be fixed, fluid, etc).
  4. Attendance Requirements (Even if you are VERY flexible, you should state that so people are aware).
  5. Spec and Gear Requirements (if any)
  6. Addons Required (if any)
  7. VoIP (Teamspeak/Vent/In-Game)
  8. Loot Rules

Many members of the guild has experience in creating and maintaining Charters, so if you have questions, feel free to ask any of these "Raiding Mentors"

SuperPug Raid Portal:

In order to make it easy for a group to form and stay organized, Consensus uses a separate portal for raid organizing, a site for what we have lovingly names SuperPugs. Given our size, and open organization, we use a forum that is open to all, and is linked with Sleeper Cartel, though neither guild has exclusive rights.

SuperPUG Website

If you have never used the site before, create an account which will be activated within a few days, which will allow you to post at will.

Creating a new Raid/Group:

If you would like to create a new raid, or regular group, it is our suggestion that you get the basic makeup of your group together before requesting a new forum. After you have your initial group in mind and your charter at least moderately fleshed out, post on the forums here, on the general forums on the SuperPug site, or even better send a message/e-mail to one of your friendly administrators (Eradorn, Seiche, Foxtrot, or Halard). All of us will be happy to get your raid/group your very own forums.

Your forum will be set aside specifically for your group, and you will be able to have administrators for your own forum, as well as protected forums for yourself should you need them. If you are unsure what you will need, again, feel free to ask and we will be happy to help you.
