Joining Consensus - Consensus

Joining Consensus

Blueprint for joining Consensus

Consensus is an open community, meaning you do not need to have a character in our guild to be able to participate in what our organization offers. You can begin in Consensus simply by creating an account on our website and joining in on conversations.

Typically there are a few ways to join the in-game guild.

  • There are no formal requirements for receiving an invitation to the Stowaway rank. (This rank is intended for guests, people wanting to see what the guild is like before they consider joining, or those not wanting to have any additional privileges.) The decision is the responsibility of the individual doing the invitation. Prospective Stowaways should expect that they will receive invitations when they can convince a member that they understand the guild and that their expectations for being part of Consensus are realistic.
  • If you are coming from an SGA member guild, please be sure to follow SGA guidelines before seeking membership with Consensus. You will need to discuss the transfer with your current Guild Leader and a courtesy contact between the two guilds must be made before an invite can occur.
  • If/when someone wants to become a full member, allowing them full access to in-game resources and capabilities, the best way to start the process is to look at our Promotions blueprint. Basically this involves a post to the forum stating a desire to become a full member and why.

Before you have joined, it would be a good idea to look at the Main Page of our website as a good starting point if you haven't already. Note that when you formally ask to join Consensus, you may be asked if you have done the following:

  1. Have you visited the web site home page and read the linked charter?
  2. Do you agree with the contents and sentiments of this charter?
  3. Do you have any questions about how this guild is operated?
  4. What role do you see yourself playing in this guild? We all try to give something back; what will you provide?
