Inviting New Guild Members - Consensus

Inviting New Guild Members

Inviting People to Consensus

All full members of Consensus (Lieutenant rank) have invite privileges. Our goal is to invite members of like-mind and those we feel will fit into our community. It would be best to direct anyone expressing interest in our guild to our web page and forum first so they can see what the guild is about and if they feel our community would be a good fit.

Because Consensus is a member of the SGA (Small Guild Alliance), we have an obligation to follow certain guidelines before extending an invitation to people that are tagged by other SGA guilds. If this is an unguilded alt then these steps are not necessary. But if later on they decide to join Consensus with another toon that is currently in an SGA guild, then we must follow the guidelines.

If anyone is contacted by someone seeking membership in Consensus from an SGA guild please refer them to the current Consensus point of contact person, which is, as of 11-18-08, Karin.

It's imperative that we show we have followed the spirit of SGA's anti-poaching policies. Documenting our steps will be very helpful if a poaching accusation is brought against us. So please either log the chat or screenshot your conversation with this person and save it just in case it is needed, and add a thread to the forums outlining the steps you've taken.

If you invite a member into the guild, it is your responsibility to update the "officer note" with 'main' or 'so and so's alt' and make sure they are at the proper rank. If this is a new member of our community please direct them to the forums and have them make an introductory post so we can get to know them or make a post for them introducing them to the guild.
